With the spectacular Hajar Mountain range, date palms, and huge stretches of arid countryside as a backdrop, it’s like going back in time.A mosque and a fort tells tales of the architectural and cultural aspects of the past centuries.Tourists can learn about how people lived back then, as well as how they dressed, how they arranged their homes and what weapons they used.

You'll also come across beautifully renovated mud dwellings and other 16th century Emirati art and architecture. It also includes a stop at the well-known Pottery Market, where you can buy gorgeous carpets. On Fridays and Saturdays, these markets are the busiest, with only a few shops operating on the rest of the week.

Hatta Hill Park, a popular picnic spot, is well worth a visit. Perched on a hilltop, people can enjoy picnics and barbecue there.For an additional fee, you can enjoy a sumptuous buffet lunch at Hatta Fort Hotel and enjoy the views of the mountains.
