Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

The magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world. It blends architectural styles from several Muslim civilisations. British, Italian, and Emirati architects designed the mosque, drawing design inspiration from Turkey, Morocco, Pakistan, and Egypt, among other Islamic countries. It also has the world’s largest carpet and seven astounding chandeliers.

Louvre Abu Dhabi

The Louvre is the first art museum of its kind in the United Arab Emirates. Located on the Saadiyat Island in the capital city, this cultural landmark is a part of the Saadiyat Cultural District. It emphasises on the preservation and appreciation of culture. One of the most striking features of the structure is a massive silvery dome, that seems weightless but weighs 7,500 tonnes. The design of the stars on the dome allows the sunlight to filter through the perforations, like a “rain of light”. Visitors can visit any of the 23 gallery buildings, the cafe and also enjoy the outdoor walkways that look out to the sea.

Emirates Palace

The hotel has 114 domes, with the central dome skilfully carved from gold, mother of pearl, and crystals to perfection. The hotel is a sight to behold, whether it’s the daytime or the night time.

Heritage Village

The fortified complex contains all of the essential features of traditional Gulf life: a fort to stave off seaborne invaders, a souq where locals may barter goats for dates and a mosque.Visit the tannery, pottery, and glass-blowing workshop and spend some time watching the craftsmen at work in their various trades. Pay a visit to the museum, which features a classic wind tower, and displays beautiful pieces of jewellery, memorabilia from the pearl-diving industry. Enjoy the tiny strip of beach behind the building, with a few of traditional dhow hulls and excellent views of the city skyline on the other side of the bay.

Yas Marina

The venue offers premium fitness centres and physiotherapy services, water activities, boat charters, a kids’ playground, melodic water fountain, and a host of events. The waterside promenade has spectacular views of the Yas Island hotel and Yas Marina Circuit. You can also visit Abu Dhabi's Yas Marina Circuit at any time of the year for a behind the scenes experience. Al Ain Oasis

A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, Al Ain Oasis has only lately been made accessible to the general public. Learn about the agricultural practises that have existed in this region with the presence of a still-operational traditional falaj (ancient irrigation system) and winding pathways shaded by a thick canopy of over 147,000 date palms and other fruit trees. Millions of date palms of 100 different kinds are cared for by farmers, along with fodder crops and fruit trees such as mangoes, oranges, jujube (known locally as sidr). Farms are divided from one another by ancient stone walls.

The other Al Ain World Heritage Sites include the the archaeological sites of Bida bint Saud, Jebel Hafit, and Hili, which are all located inside the city. These remarkable, ancient sites tell the stories of prehistoric civilization and human occupation in this desert region dating back to the Neolithic period, and visiting them is like taking a walk back in time.
